She asked us to bring 4 items. I am finishing off three of them, and quite happy. Nervous, but happy. We will see what becomes of this venture.

I love playing with that stuff, and it turned out very well. I added a definite geek factor to them by using the same color code used in transistors. I will be following with a bead version, and increasing the number of links to 10, per requests by those who have seen them.

The Chameleon Progress report, brought to you live from a very warm Spring in the upper midwest.

I have made progress on two items. My Ao Shell, which now looks like a rectangle. Oh so exciting! I have started on the second half.

I knit up a shop sample for work. The yarn is Yearling from Juniper Moon Farm, and the pattern is the Yearling Cardigan. The little bits to the right are ears, which I will add after blocking. There is one sad thing here. I had adjusted my tension to knit my Ao, and I forgot to adjust it back for the cardigan. It is a bit uneven, which makes me sad. I am better than this! *pouts*

My Birthday was 2 weeks ago. Since we got my gifts by mail, and we don’t like shipping charges, they took their time getting here. I love it when my birthday lasts more than one day. But what did I get?!

I am very happy to first find this book, and now to own it. I have just done the quick clip through, but I do believe it is exactly what I wanted. He has done the hard work of figuring out many of the “how in the heck do you do that” conundrums. Now all I have to do is knit! He also validated my choice of how to manage the edges on my scarf, but gave some interesting options to try later.

The second item is not knitting related. Shocking I know. It is blog related though. I got “Building Great Sentences: Exploring the Writer’s Craft” from The Great Courses. I like to write. I like playing with the English language. I also like to get my meaning across as clearly as possible. I do not think I always succeed. The play and the clear meaning sometimes clash in a big way. These DVD’s should help. Improve my sentence structure, they shall. *nods*

I seem to be like many knitters, who have a handful of projects all in process at the same time. I like to keep a mix of projects. Some are patterns in development, some are test knitting, and some are the very appealing work of others.

I am working on a super not-so secret design for a double-knit scarf. I have fallen in love with double knitting, and this design has me very jazzed. I have made it past the half way point and am on the home stretch.

When I started this sock, it was just supposed to be a simple, mindless, fill-in-the-gaps sock to keep me occupied. The yarn had a different idea. I am loving it, and just need to figure out what will happen with the heel. I suppose I could let the yarn decide that too, it has done a good job thus far.

As you can tell from the photo, this is a wonderful shell, in linen, designed by Vicky Square and published in the book Knit Kimono Too. Oh, you can’t tell? I best get knitting on this then so you can see what my mind’s eye sees.

I also have two patterns in swatch form. I will want to get those further along so the photo looks like more than a shapeless lump. I also have an almost done sweater, but it is also in the shapeless lump stage. I don’t know how people get bored. I have trouble allowing myself to stop at night and sleep!
